The Vikings were a band of Norse warrior-thieves.
History[]
The Vikings were aware of Oberon and his Children whom they called "dark elves".[1]
The Viking band, led by Hakon, attacked Castle Wyvern around dusk in 994 CE. Two of Hakon's men mentioned that attacking a castle full of gargoyles near dusk was insane. Hakon overheard his men, threatening them for questioning his sanity, and leading all his men onto attacking the castle. They were nearly successful until the sleeping gargoyles awoke and drove Hakon and the other Vikings away.[2] The viking then set up camp at the cave of the deceased Archmage.[3]
Later the next day, the Captain of the Guard made a deal with the Vikings to betray Castle Wyvern's defenses to them. Goliath's mate was supposed to lead the clan away from the castle, but she failed to do so. As a result, the Vikings shattered the sleeping gargoyles. However, at their camp, the viking came under attack by Goliath and his five remaining gargoyles and their guard dog. The vikings ran off and abandoned Hakon and Captain Robert. Hakon and the captain tried to take Princess Katharine and kill her. However, Hakon and Robert got into a fight and fell to their deaths.[2] Vikings were known to have traveled as far as Japan, where they hid Odin's shield.[4]
However, Hakon's and Robert's spirits were trapped in the cave due a monolith's magic and their hatred of themselves and Goliath. In 1996, Hakon and Robert tried to use the monolith to regain their lifeforce from Goliath. However, Robert could not do this goliath. While Robert was freed from his imprisonment, Hakon was trapped in cave alone.[3] However, Hakon was found by his descendant, Wolf and was able to leave the cave by using his axe. Together, they attempted to fight Goliath and Hudson. Unfortunately, Hudson was able to trap Hakon and his axe in trash compactor. With the axe destroyed, Hakon was able to leave the earth plane.[5]
Notes[]
- Vikings were still raiding Scotland in the 990s. However, there is no evidence in the real-world that Viking ever went to Japan, only to North America around 1000 A.D..
