The robot Coyote reappears and gives the Pack another chance to battle the gargoyles, after having an upgrade. Meanwhile, Goliath must decide on his second-in-command.

The Pack returns in full-sans Fox- and all undergo upgrades(hence the title) making them all much more serious threats.

Jackal and Hyena may now be the last of their family; their cybernetic upgrades have removed their ability to produce offspring.
Jackal points out "Well, that's sicker than usual" when Hyena says she finds a robot attractive; this suggests that even though he is a psychopath, he does have some standards.
This was hinted back in Leader of the Pack, where Hyena called Coyote 's mask cute and even stated "A robot? Even better."
