King Arthur Pendragon is one of Britain's most famous kings.
History[]
Arthur became High King of Britain on September 29, 500. He was mortally wounded in 542 and sent to a magic hill on Avalon, where he slept for 1,453 years, when he was awakened by Elisa Maza.
On Avalon, he was confused by the situation until being informed of the threat attacking the castle. Deciding he was needed, he helped battle the Archmage, where he defeated Macbeth and saw Goliath's victory over the Archmage. Afterwards, he decided to explore the modern world on his own, parting on good terms with his new allies.[2] He eventually wound up in England, where he broke into Westminster Abbey, thereby attracting the attention of the gargoyle, Griff. The two were soon taken on a journey that sent them to New York. With the help of Griff and the Manhattan Clan, King Arthur reclaimed Excalibur despite Macbeth's attempt to claim the sword for himself. Arthur then offered Macbeth a chance to be a Knight but the latter refused to serve though stated if Arthur ever needed him for anything that he will be at his side, something that it was accepted.[3]
He then made the decision to go and search for Merlin, as well as find a way to return Griff to London. However, Griff wished to accompany him, so the King knighted him for his endeavors.[3]
When Arthur heard that England was returning the Stone of Destiny to Scotland, he and Griff returned to London to protect the stone on its journey.
