Summary[]
Thailog and his Gargoyle Clones are dying. A sympathetic Manhattan clan seeks out Dr. Sevarius to help them. Though Sevarious takes DNA samples from the clan to help heal the clones, he ends up using it to bring a "son" gargoyle alive to be rid of both the clones and the Manhattan Clan. The experiment and the clones end up turning to stone at the end.
Notes[]
- Thailog and all of the Clones "die" in this episode. It is hoped by the Manhattan Clan that they can somehow be restored at a future date, however.
- When each of the clones die, they turn to stone permenantly. It is unknown if this is meant to be the traditional manner in which all Gargates die, or a symptom of their degenerating DNA condition.
- Given the clan's reaction to Hudson "not waking up" in The Price, it is possible that this is indeed how Gargoyles pass away naturally at least some of the time. In that episode, the Manhattan Clan is surprised, but not entirely dumbfounded by a Gargoyle who fails to revive at Dusk.
- Like all "The Goliath Chronicals" Episodes, Genesis Undone and its events are considered to be non-canon, and are superceded by the events of the Slave Labor Comics series by Weisman, which shows the Clone Clan to be alive and well and taking up residence in the Labyrinth.
Trivia[]
- This episode, like the rest of the third season, is considered to be non-canon.
