Constance, also known as "Coco", is a gargoyle belonging to the London Clan.
History[]
Coco hatched in Knight's Spur alongside Staghart, and the two gargoyles became "best mates" over time.
In 1996, she, Staghart, and Griff met Lexington and Hudson of the Manhattan Clan while both sets of gargoyles were on a mission to protect the Stone of Destiny. Coco, the other gargoyles protecting the Stone, alongside their human allies, Macbeth and King Arthur, were attacked by an Iron Clan robot, a Steel Clan robot, Coyote, and Coldsteel. She relished battling the robots and took particular joy in ripping the arms of the Iron Clan robot straight from its body.[1][2]
Characteristics[]
Constance strongly resembles a wild boar. She's light tan in color and has a pig-like snout and two large tusks protruding out from her lower lip. She has reddish/orange hair which she wears in pigtails, and patches of fur of the same color on her forearms. Her feet resemble those of a boar, and she either possesses a very short tail or none at all. She's the first gargoyle of the London Clan seen who doesn't have feathered wings. Her wings instead resemble Brooklyn's pterodactyl-like type with three taloned finger claws at the top.
Constance and Staghart are best friends. Constance seems to be very strong and agile despite her large size. She seems to be a very strong-minded yet fun individual who takes pride in her fighting skill considering she scoffs at the advice of using a weapon.
Trivia[]
- Constance's nickname, Coco, is also the name of the early production female gargoyle character that eventually evolved into Broadway.
- Constance is the only known member of the London Clan with mammalian (bat-like) wings. Her clan mates all have avian (bird-like) wings.
