The CV-1997 is a Carrier Virus developed by Dr. Anton Sevarius.
History[]
Dr. Sevarius developed the original carrier virus, CV-1000 with Dominique Destine at Nightstone Unlimited, for the official purpose of creating cures and vaccines as potent as the diseases they fought. Demona, however, actually intended to use it in a plan called Operation Clean Slate.
Sevarius developed the CV-1997 to spread a concentrated burst of a mutagen over the crowds gathered at Times Square for an unknown employer, but it's likely it was Thailog. When Sevarius sent Fang to detonate the virus at Times Square, Matrix was able to contain the virus without infecting or mutating any of the crowds.
